Tales of walking, eating, watching and playing. Vintage treasures and simple pleasures ... the things that make her happy.

Still making and sewing ...

... pages for her parent's 50th wedding anniversary book

One of their wedding photos printed onto linen,
and a few embroidered words ...
(terrible photo - it doesn't really look this blue ... more muted sepia!)

'Summertime' - the lullaby her pop used to sing to her every night.
Now she sings it to her little man.
This will be used for the reverse of one of the pages.
Another work-in-progress page ...
and getting braver with the sewing ...
(Can't remember where the quote came from).

What a really thoughtful and beautiful gift to give them because they will also know that you gave your time, which people have so little of nowadays. x

Marina,

How wonderfully sweet of you to create a book for your parents 50th! Not many people see 50 years together and I'm sure this will be a very sentimental day for everyone. Sigh...

I love, love, love the idea of making a sewn book for your parents golden marriage. You must love them very much and it's not common to stay together for 50 years in this modern times. I particularly like the quote: "To the world you maybe just one person but to one person you are the world." And I like the "are" in the last part better than the "may be" that I found in most of the internet sites.
