Thank you dear J (and friend) for putting a chocolate smile on my face on what proved to be a challenging day!
I came home from the Sherborne Antiques fair with this gorgeous girl.
Wish I knew who she was.
The only clue ... Lille 1933.
I need to find a new frame and mount and then she will have a place on our freshly painted landing, along with Queen Victoria.

What a lovely child - if she lived to grow up, (I hope she did!) she would have been stunning, she is very chic in this photo - and so serious!
What a fabulous hairstyle!

so cute even with the slightly unusual hair do. I'm glad you kept Queen V, I'd love a full colour print of her.
She is so adorable and I love how her name is spelt. I love the hairstyles from back then. Too cute:)

She is very sweet - strange hair style, but she carries it off very well.

Don't you always feel sorry for these photos, long forgotten by their owners, my daughter always makes a beline for them at fairs and calls them 'the lost souls of time'. Julie xxx
Wow, what a hairdo! Never seen anything quite like it. Perhaps it's time it had a revival? Yours is too short (phew!) but I could give it a go...

She is a beautiful little girl, I wonder what became of her?
I love the pose and she has a very sweet face but someone should have reminded her mother to remove that last curler!
She's beautiful!
She is adorable!!! I love the little "do" on the top of her lil' head. Tooooo sweet!
Hi Marina. Adoro le foto antiche!!! Adoro ammirarle e cercar di capire chi fossero quelle persone leggendo nei loro occhi!!
Un abbraccio a te ed a Sherborne (lovely), *Maristella*.
What a sweet picture.
I wonder if she is French - Lille (Lilly) or it was taken in Lille?
What a wonderful picture and she has such beautiful eyes! I sometimes grow so attached to people in old pictures that I feel I must be related.
what a natty little hairdo!

That's amazing! I always wonder about old photographs too. I have a tiny little collection, but I love all of them. I happen to have a few that actually look like they could be my siblings;)
Hey Jane, this is my first time checking out your blog but some of the vintage bloggers on here are my favourite posters so I thought I'd follow and read more if that's okay! Congrats on the chocolate too, sounds good!
