I had some lovely finds last week; lots of little things ...
The tiniest pot of castor oil pills from Stotherts Ltd of Atherton. And, guess what, the little pills are still inside ...
A delightful pair of painted wooden figures ...
Glass swizzle sticks ...
1950's Balenciaga Quadrille perfume in the smallest
bottle, measuring just 2cms.
Atop a 'Book About Roses', sits the Quadrille, a 'Friendship box and a teeny 'Huntley & Palmers Superior Reading Biscuits' tin. So sad that it has lost it's lid.
A Friendship Box. Decorated with Lily of the Valley ...
A Greeting
Every wish a friend can give,
My friend I send to you,
May you be happy whilst you live,
Your trials brief and few.
Leather stud box - "A stud in the hand is worth two under the bed". Several cards of linen buttons.
A pair of beautifully decorated pink and gold plates, Swan place card holders and two teeny enamel painted dishes.
Dear little electric flat / sad iron for lace and finishing work. The coil at the back points upwards as the electric cord would be plugged into the ceiling light fitting. Pretty painted darning mushroom.
Spong's bean slicer. This reminds me of standing in my grandmother's scullery slicing bean after bean after bean ... cranking the handle round and round, eventually becoming totally lost and absorbed in the stories in my head.
And a lovely pair of legs!
Also, bought lots of wooden cotton reels to add to my collection, more buttons(!), more sweetie jars (thank you M!) and much more. Need to get everything ready for the upcoming Christmas Fairs. One of my favourites, the lovely 'Treasurer's House Christmas Shooping by Fairylight' Fair is this Thursday so plenty to keep me busy this week!
Hello to my new followers and have a good week everyone.

What super small finds - the best sort if your home has as much in as mine! Hard to choose a favourite, but the little wooden figures are too cute!

Sweet finds!
What a great eye you have...lots of lovelies there. Specially love the castor oil pill jar and thanks also for showing me a bean slicer, something l never knew existed.
Hi Jane,
You certainly found a lot of sweet little things. I've never heard of a bean slicer? What kind of bean did you slice? The castor oil reminded me of the cod liver oil my grandmother use to give us...It was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E! It always gave me the shivers. LOL
Have a wonderful time Thursday at the fair.
Kris

How lovely to find so many tinys! I should like a new pair of pins very much! As for the Quadrille - it's MIL'S favourite but I suspect she would like a splash more!
