Tales of walking, eating, watching and playing. Vintage treasures and simple pleasures ... the things that make her happy.

She wants to get married ...

...again.  Then she can wear a swishy, swooshy, glittery, glam dress like this.
Buried in the charity shop, with rusty, dusty marks marring it's beauty.  She added bubbles and water and amazingly, magically, it was transformed into a creamy, chiffony Jack Bryan vintage American delight that she would so love to keep (if only it wasn't two sizes too big)!
Beautifully lined, pleated and fluted, it whispers as she dances ...

Sparkly sequins, tiny silvery beads and lace

But these are keepers ...

Boxy brown bag ... bigger than the Queen's!

Pretty little vintage silk blouse with net back
It had some little holes and a mark so she rescued it with a few little appliqued embroidery pieces.

Wow, amazing finds. I wonder who wore the wedding dress, whether she was happy etc. etc. Love the top too but the handbag is too big for me, I like dainty bags.

What superb finds Marina! Wow, the wedding dress is really divine - I'd be getting it taken in and KEEP IT! Or just keep it any way ;o) Your handbag is great, just the size I like. The silk blouse is fab - I'm sure there's a photo of my Mom wearing something similar in the 40's.

Little birds are still doing well, and I'm happy you liked the faces! The new batch of Vanilla extract is already turning to the colour of weak tea - you must make some - it's SO easy, and anyone receiving it will think you've worked wonders :o)

The dress is absolutely beautiful. I am sure someone would love it if you have to pass it on.

The bag is a massive, your arm will get a workout.

What a great idea to cover the little hole in the back of the blouse, the pieces are so pretty.

p.s whats that written on the inside of your hand??lol.

p.p.s Mr cooks as well as irons, but not every night :)

Hello,
Thanks for visiting my blog and now giving me the chance to find yours. What an amazing find that dress is, if only I had the problem of things being too big! I hope the Bridport market went well.
