The morning after ...

... Storm Katie.
They rose early,
shunned breakfast,
and headed for the coast.
Katie's anger was still in evidence.
The sea raging to the shore,
hurling, swirling, incensed.
A short ebb,
a long swell,
then a full, black, salty punch.
Enraged and accusing.
A foamy spit of fury,
over the harbour walls.
And then,
a gradual retreat.
Tantrum over.
Salt smacked and windswept,
they headed to the Station Kitchen
for a bacon sandwich and
hot chocolate treat!

Wow, looks as though she was pretty cross!! A bacon sandwich sounds like a better idea than being battered by Katie! xx

We all seemed to be down by the sea on that day! One of my pictures looks very familiar. The station kitchen is another asset to West Bay, glad you enjoyed seeing the wildness of the sea! Sarah x

Beautiful pictures of the restless coastline...It sounds like a wonderfully spontaneous morning for the family, and breakfast would have been delish and bliss:-)
