Tales of walking, eating, watching and playing. Vintage treasures and simple pleasures ... the things that make her happy.

Tuesday 22 March 2016

Ladies who lunch ...

... drank tea at the pub
then ate ...
and talked ... and talked, and talked ...
and talked a little more,
in front of a warming fire.
Eventually dragging themselves away from their comfy corner ...
to walk up over the ridge behind the church.
The air was mizzly and the views short ...

Well that sounds perfect! Apart from the mizzle, but if it had been too hot walking up hill would be hard work. There's always a good side.

I love a good gossipy lunch or tea with a pal!

Btw I was taken with your description of the moisture laden air as 'mizzly '. What my Scottish other half calls a 'smir' (smir?).xx

That looks a good pub, I hope you don't mind me asking where it is. You neeeded some substance before climbing the hill! Sarah x

What a nice time you had with your friends. I miss that, just a few girls hanging out together. :) The countryside is so pretty.
