Tales of walking, eating, watching and playing. Vintage treasures and simple pleasures ... the things that make her happy.

Sometimes ...

she forgets who she is …

The humdrum takes over,
The focus shifts
She frets about time,
The things that really matter become lost,
In a whirring mass of ‘to do’s’ fogging her mind.

Then she sits down,
And writes a list of what makes her happy,
Just the little things ...

Warm, still, evening air,
A new visitor to her bird table,
Reading to her son.
A walk with her man,
Friends, who care.
The Damselfly that landed on her hand by the riverside.
Her little cat's contended purr.

And so much more …

Her soul catches up.
And she remembers ...

All of the little things that give you happiness and pleasure are freely available - if only more people would look around, appreciate, and share your sentiments, then the world would be a happier place.
