Reloved Books

She was rummaging through an old box of books.
The old man said "they're going in the bin".
She rescued them and took them home.
Covered the pages with paper.
Added a ribbon tie and a big old vintage button ...
... and turned them into journals.
This one has a little envelope pocket for tickets or a photo ...
and a ribbon bookmark weighted with a gilded button ...
she does like it when a book has it's own bookmark.
This one is perfect for a dog lover ... lots of pics of furry friends!
Plenty of pages to write on and a few that are decorated ...
 just because ...
More books will be saved soon ...

I have done this and it is SO fun. There is something tingling and exciting about holding an old book; it's like opening a secret door in one of the Harry Potter or Narnia movies! You never know what will appear on the next page.

THANK YOU my friend for coming to visit. Let's make learning on any level a fun and memorable experience! Anita

Wow this is just awesome Jane, it's annoying how much good stuff, timeless stuff is just thrown out without particular thought, you've done an amazing job enhancing it as well!
