How terribly British ...

... drinking Pimms on a sunny Sunday afternoon,
followed by a decadent cream tea,
with the sweetest strawberries and rich clotted cream,
whilst watching the Wimbledon Mens Final in the garden,
with best friends and neighbours!

Little man wearing the 'lucky hat' ...
The almost unbearable tension,
Cheers and tears!
Well done Andy!
And then ... to celebrate, a glass of chilled bubbly.
Perfect!

Sounds like you had a FUN weekend! It does sound very British indeed! Every time I hear the words clotted cream I think of England and of course tea too!! :-(

I hope you are well and enjoying the summer.

~ It was a jolly decent afternoons viewing! I drank far to much wine and shouted a little too loud, really! A BIG well done from me too! the pressure on him to deliver was enormous and he most certainly delivered!Hugs Maria x

That looks very civilised. I thought I'd get my ironing done whilst I watched but it was too exciting so I sat down with a glass of cider instead! Julie x

Seems like such a great and British day Jane, tea, a Brit winning Wimbledon and of course I have to give a special shout out to the scones!

Thought that was an amazing thing for a small boy to have done with a newspaper then I realised it's probably designed to be folded into a hat!! Very clever though.

What a lovely way to watch Andy win - delighted that 'little man's' hat did the trick.
Total dedication from Andy to pull it off after a 77 year wait - well done and congratulations to him.
