Mail order collars, those were the days! I couldn't resist googling the exotic address - just what you'd expect - modest but smart 1930s semi-detached.

My goodness, I haven't seen a collar box like that in years... not since we sorted out my grandparents house.
Good luck on Saturday!

That would be like a dream come true. I love old textiles, buttons and notions. I hope you had a good time. Don't forget to show us the goodies you pick up. :)

P.S. I've never heard of a collar box!

Skipping over to see if I can find a hankie boiling in vinegar whilst in the burco boiler! Stranger things have happened. We are well verses in Burco's in our house - if any drivers cuts me up, mows me down or drives badly they are called a Burco Boiler. Tis a small world!

Anyway - what I really wanted to say was that I love the collar box very much and I also very much wish to start a collar emporium that reaches every part of the British Isles! I would also ensure that the address label had been reversed!
Best wishes
Jenny

Love a vintage storage box! The typeface, the illustrations ... the sheer hardiness! They do not make them like they used to.

Wanted to say thank you ever so much for your heartfelt comment on my Madiba post. ♥♥♥

Have a super week! xx

I am definitely going to try and come to the next one of these, especially as i have discovered that Frome isn't THAT far way from me, considering I drive to Wimborne everyday now.
Will you be at the Poundbury TFT tomorrow? xx
