She bought a little telephone ...

... she loved it's shape and colour
but there is a problem ...
if an emergency should require the services of a big red fire engine,
an ambulance or a 'bobby' on the beat ...
she cannot dial 999!

Delightful Italian visitors came to stay at the weekend ... more about that later ...

Too much work and too little time at present.
Mrs VJ has been reading all your lovely comments
and apologises sincerely if she has not replied to you.

This is so cool Jane, really love it although I find it weird that there is no number 9, maybe it's to stamp out the negativity associated with 9s. Hope that things are good, can't wait to hear about the visitors, sounds so itneresting.

It would do for me - I'm hopeless with new technology.

want, love, need.
Though I realise that the absence of a 0 also means you can make no long distance calls. May be it was made by a canny and penny minding father with many many teenaged daughters.
