A mirror, a boot and those funny little people again ...

Large 1930s hand painted and etched mirror ...
In excellent condition.
Frame gently restored and enchanced with gold ...
... will be coming to the Buttercross Vintage Market
at Somerton on Saturday 8th September,
along with lots of other goodies and delights.

Remember this old boot?  Grandpa has made some progress ...
Rustic beams, electric wiring ...
A floor in the cellar ...
Lots still to be done, as with any major housebuilding project.

And remember these funny little guys.

Inspired by the Anthony Gormley installation at Barrington House,
Paul the Potter is holding workshops at the Barrington Pottery.
The intention is to make a 'Field for Somerset' in one of the barns.

They are aiming for 1000 little clay people by this Thursday
(on Sunday morning they were at approx 700)
Everyone is given the same size piece of clay and the same instructions,
but they are all so different.
And, there's been a bit of lovin' going on ...

We Very nearly gave in to the mirror, just didn't have a spot for it.

Beautifully restored frame and I do remember the post about the "funny little guys". Also, the boot too! It's coming along fabulously. I can't wait to see the finished results on this one. :)

Hope you well and having a wonderful day! :)

So excited to see the boot coming along--such a clever idea. And I adore the 1000 clay people--getting the community involved is such a great idea.

OMG! Those little clay people are so adorable. I'm completely awed by how they are made to look like. I can't believe that there are a thousands of them.

I also would have loved a "boot house" as a child - my dream toy! Now I fear I've turned into the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe! (Only not so cruel)
