It rained ... and rained ... trapped indoors she painted an old stool and recovered it (awaiting braiding to neaten up the edges).
Loving this barkcloth fabric.
Heavy ebonised pot stand ...
with interesting detailing
Painted in 'Old White'
Distressed a little to accentuate the carving ...
... and waxed.

Nice job painting! And I love that barkcloth fabric.
I love the paint job on the stool Jane, some seriously good work went into creating that, great photos as always.
Gorgeous little stool, the fabric is perfect. I am afraid I let out a little argh! when I saw you were about to paint the pot stand. Hope all is well, Tam x
P.s. love the colour of your walls!
Such lovely vintage fabric on the stool and the pot stand looks wonderful painted...especially the distressing.
Lovely makeovers Jane....personally I think the pot stand looks much better painted.

Hope you have the sun shining on your little patch today

Gorgeous barkcloth - I love that design. The pot stand looks so much better now that you have painted and distressed it. You have given it a new lease of life.
Best wishes, Pj x
Lovely fabric and nice job with the pot stand, the white really accentuates it's carvings
I love your furniture makeovers! Thanks so much for popping over to my blog. Pretty Nostalgic is available through various independent sellers (I'm afraid I can't find a list of them), as well as the Pretty Nostalgic website www.prettynostalgic.co.uk
Hope you manage to get hold of a copy!
Jane,
Beautiful makeovers! I love Old White! The stool is so sweet and the barkcloth beautiful. I am wondering what it will look like with the braiding. Don't forget to share a picture with us!
We celebrate Mother's Day here in the US and I wanted to wish you a Happy Mom's Day!
Fabulous makeovers!

Un caro saluto, *Maristella*.
What a great job! It never fails to amaze me whata difference a coat (or two) of paint can make :o)
Fab transformation and the black really works with the distressing.
