Meet Chester!

I am fostering this little chap at the moment.  Chester - a dear little pup, tightly stuffed with wood shavings.  Although a 'woofer' can be felt under the fur on his back, it no longer works, sadly rendering him mute.  And this, I think, was the cause of some of Chester's problems with Rose.  He was not able to express his unhappiness.

You see, Rose bought Chester as a little trophy dog, to carry in her Vuitton valise, to dress in trendy canine bling and primp with puff and powder.  Chester was not at all happy with this treatment - he wanted to go for muddy puddle walks, to chase leaves in the breeze, to play with doggy friends and sniff ... (no, ok, we won't go there!).
Chester became bored, his four legs were fizzing with pent up energy.  Desperate for exercise and unable to give voice to his frustrations, he became a naughty pup, seeking attention in other ways ... he chewed her Mulberry 'Alexa', he 'played' with her new silken chemise and tore her dreamily gorgeous Temperley lace dress.  He skidded along the polished parquet, flipping backwards, with muddied paws (he had been digging in the pot of earth that contained her perfect white orchid) straight onto the cream covered chaise.  It was the final straw.  Chester had to leave.
However, after a little training he has become an adorable little chap.  He loves to ride to the shops in my bicycle basket, to run around the garden and sit in the sun.  However, much as we love him dearly, he cannot stay ...
The mistress of the house, Florence the cat, does not approve and is starting to seek attention in undesirable ways ...

Our Florrie - she's a softie really (until another cat - or dog - appears on her patch)!
And so, Chester is available for an adoption fee of £12 + p&p to the right owner (preferably one who likes muddy walks and has a basket on the front of their bicycle).  27th Aug - Chester has now been adopted.

Ah bless his little sawdusty feet! He's so cute, and I am sorry he had to endure all those designer-y ways. I'm sure he'll soon find a more suitable home!

Hello Marina:
Chester is adorable and what a sad story of how he lost his 'woof'. He looks like more of a rough and tumble than designer dog and we are sure that he will find a caring home before too long.

Only one of our ancient teddy bears has kept his growl and he has just had an unfortunate attack of the moth. These animals do take a lot of looking after, don't they?!!!

Chester sounds like just the right kind of attack dog needed to sit at anyone's front door. But something tells me he'd really rather sit on my lap and watch old movies with me;)) xo

A quiet dog is the best kind of dog...and he seems very well behaved. Shame the cat's giving him attitude.
