Found ...

A few treasures (to me - maybe trash to others!) for upcoming fairs ...

It's seen better days, but as far as I'm concerned it just adds to its charm.  Heavy, original enamel sign - I love the colours.

Hudson's were the first company to sell soap flakes for laundry (mid 1800's).  Prior to this, housewives had to grind their own from solid bars of soap.  The product was extremely popular and Hudson's rapidly expanded, due in part to their strong advertising campaigns, which included bright posters and enamel signs, designed by professional artists (they were one of the first companies to use these enamel signs, before Pears and Lever Bros).

Gorgeous little painted iron bassinet on wheels.

Very heavy head!

Little gold painted cast money box to celebrate the Queen's coronation

Perfect 1930's crinoline lady teapot

More pretty linens in need of a launder and a blow in the wind.

Hope you are all having a good week.  Bad news today has sent me reeling.

Your head looks like bronze! I can remember a Hudsons sign still being on a building when I was a little girl - sadly both the sign and the building are no longer there. I love the sign though :o)

Hello Marina:
You have included some very desirable and highly collectable items here and, like you, we find the Hudson's Soap sign most attractive and appealing, not least for its really bright colour.

Reading your final sentence, we do so hope that nothing too untoward has occured.
