By Candlelight

Pretty pink candles.
Wrapped in little bundles.
Bound in a length of sheet music,
crochet and lace.
 Topped off with an aged photo or millinery flower.
Candle bundles ready for the Christmas Vintage Bazaar
Saturday 15th December
at the Cheese and Grain, Frome

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing;
It makes no noise at all,
But softly gives itself away;
While quite unselfish, it grows small.

They are so beautifully wrapped--each one thoughtfully, lovingly composed. The perfect gift--they will be snapped up at the bazaar. Wish I could be there!

What a sweet little poem on the candle! I don't suppose many people think about how much joy they can bring. I love to sit and watch them burn, mesmerized by the flame.

I wish you a great sale day but there is no doubt in my mind that you will sell out. (I believe this line sorta rhymes! Ha

How very charming and special, all that attention to detail, such a beautiful idea. I can't believe that I somehow forgot about giving candles. The simplest most precious light at Christmas time. Thank you so much for sharing, oh and commenting on my blog. I think I will, with your permission adopt this idea this Christmas xox Penelope

You are so lucky down in the West Country! This is the last weekend of fairs & markets up here in the North - then everything shuts down for Christmas!
