On a Sunday afternoon,
their village usually quietly slumbers,
but a now regular event on the calendar,
is the Retro Fundraising vintage car rally ...
when the main street comes alive with
an array of amazing cars and motorcycles.
All the funds raised go to the local charity shop,
who then portion it out to local charities.
After the rally, the cars meet up at the local rec,
which is where the VJ's caught up with them after returning from camping.
VJ would LOVE one of these ...
So cute!
There were refreshments ...
stalls, music ... and lots of cars ...
Jeeps ...
Minis ...
Motorbikes ...
Hot rods ...
One of her favourites ...
There were over 200 entries ...
Prizes were awarded for favourite car,
furthest travelled car and more.
And at the end a dear little girl was presented with an electric wheelchair,
that will transform her life and that of her family.
Her smile was priceless.
The wheelchair cost over £5000 and was bought with some of the proceeds
from last year's Retro Fundraising.

Wow cute little trailer x
How I'd love to be in such a place, to hear the sounds of the peoples' excitement, to see the sights of automobiles so unknown to my experience! This town has COME ALIVE!

So many lovely events on at the moment. How fantastic that everyone has a good day out and money is raised for a needy child.
