Crasharama 2014!!

The return of the Bridport Vintage Market was a huge success
and will once again be a regular monthly fixture.

VJ had a great day and met lots of lovely people;
many had been to the previous markets
and some had just discovered it and promised to return.

There were lots of treasures on offer,
along with live music and some lovely food at the Red Brick Cafe.
Next month promises to be even bigger and better.
She will try to remember to take her camera next time!
Last Sunday of every month until further notice ...

The following day was a complete contrast ...
they went Banger Racing!!
It was an early birthday treat for Little Man and a couple of his pals.
First the 'grand parade' of cars,
and then the action started!
It was noisy, smelly, smoky
and sooo much fun!!
After the first race,
the cars were taken back to the pits,
the damage assessed,
and then work got underway to get them ready for the next race!
They were sledge hammered back into shape,
crushed bodywork cut away,
wheels freed up and replaced.
After several races,
there were noticeably fewer cars on the track
as some were deemed beyond repair!
They were pretty basic inside ...
There were Stock and Saloon car races in between,
and then the final Demolition Derby!
They smashed and crashed,
screeched and flamed,
until, amidst the smoke,
just one car remained mobile.
The date is already in the diary for next year!!

Definitely a boy thing. Is this what I'm in for? :)
Too bad we'll miss you in Annecy. It's such a wonderful place to visit; I'm sure we'll bring the little one back when he's older. Xo

Wow!
I think I'll give the smashing cars a miss - too exciting for my delicate constitution. But I hope we can get to the Bridport market soon. It's one of our favourite places.

That looks like so much fun! Despite the smoke, screeching and banging around, I can just imagine that lil man really enjoyed this! Heck, I think I would have really liked this! LOL
