... she attempted to make a curtain,
from an old tablecloth.
She doesn't mind the odd faded patch and aged darn.
Constantly thwarted by her noisy, demanding girl ...
In the kitchen, her Mr and Little Man made pasta ...
silky Tagliatelle ribbons hang to dry
while ham and cheese ravioli bubble ...
The following day is kinder,
sun breathing a warmer breath.
sun breathing a warmer breath.
They enjoy brisk walking and fresh air,
at Lyme Bay ...
... the beach still strewn with storm debris.
The lower side of the Cobb,
scarred and scabbed from it's winter beating.
Wind whistled and salted they headed to ...
... the Stable at Bridport ...
for a well earned treat ... a Ham Hock & Pea Pie supper ...
Perfect!

Her tablecloth looks wonderful, looks like it should go with the pasta. She has inspired me to go and make pasta - yummy homemade pasta for tea.

Perfect mix of inside and out, domestic and nature. Speaking of curtains, the pasta made me think of the old beaded curtains. Looks delicious. I love all those bay scenes.
Hi Marina.
Good noodles and ravioli, but I count the days that separate us from England.
A big kiss to your little man!

How creative you are Jane. Curtains from an old tablecloth - well OK I could do that with or without the hindrance of a lovely cat, but homemade pasta - OMG! I bow down in admiration.
And thanks for the tip about The Stable in Bridport - that Ham Hock and Pea pie is the business! Cx
How cute your kitty is, sitting on your project!! :) Your pasta and dinner look yummy! :) Happy new week! xo Holly
I love Lyme, fabulous place! :) x
I like the look of the pasta and your day out.
Homemade pasta....that's such a delight to see. Your pot pie looks delicious. I bet your kitchen smells wonderful with all the cooking that is going on.
Have a very nice week.
love,
~Sheri
we have had many holidays down your way and envy you having Lyme on your doorstep! Gorgeous pics. Juliex
That looks like a perfect weekend. I have always wanted to try and make homemade pasta is it difficult to do? We haven't been to Lyme since the storms it does look a bit battered. The Stables is a great place to stop on the way home!

Aw, I finally get to see a side snap of Lil guy. So cute, he is! The pasta looks great. I've never tried to make pasta. I just purchased a curtain made from a vintage linen tablecloth. Its blue, white with a thin black stripe. So pretty and airy looking. I got it on Etsy.
It has been very nice here in the mid to low 70's but we have a bit of cooler weather headed our way. Nothing too unbearable, just colder than the mid 70's.
Spring break has sprung which means all the college students are headed this way to the beach. For the next 3 weeks (the heaviest of the season) and through the month of April 400,000 kids will descend upon our beaches creating havoc. LOL I plan to stay away from the beach until they have all gone home. LOL
This will be a first for us and I've heard that the kids are pretty rowdy...drinking, drugging, and partying. If I were a parent I wouldn't let my college age daughter come near here. LOL Already there is a young man missing...they don't know what happened to him?
I just love darns don't you? I keep meaning to darn some old cardies with contrasting bright colours. Trouble is I think it'd make me look (even more) like a batty old bag lady, so maybe not...
Mmmm - can I come to tea at yours please - that pasta looks great! Lovely photos of Lyme - I have always wanted to go since I read about it in Jane Austen's Persuasion as a girl! Still not been! xCathy
Am absolutely drooling over that pie, looks amazing ... and the fresh pasta too of course!
Thanks for popping in to see me, love it when you call!
Love Claire xx
Such a lovely day out, and ending with a delightful supper. Little Man is very good at colouring. x
