Oh, what to do ... ?

 For some days,
this shapely figure (nicknamed Martha May by the Mr)
has been sitting on the dining table,
whilst VJ cleans her up and repairs her.
A recent auction find -
a Twilfit mannequin.
VJ has become rather attached to her ...
Which poses a problem ...
their house is too small for any 'keepers'.
If something stays, something goes.
So if Martha May stays ... Miss Edie goes ...
The bedroom is due a makeover.
A pale shade of grey has been chosen
and Martha May would sit very well in it,
but Miss Edie is now making her feel guilty.
Oh, what to do ...

HaHa! Can l really leave a comment......!!!
It's always been my dream to meet a lady with 'NO' Arms...'NO' Legs...
And, with a very 'large'...'Bank Balance'. :>).

Just think...If ladies had boobies on their back...They'd look a bit silly...But! Great to dance with!

Mrs VJ...You've started me off now...I'll say bye before l get thrown off....I can 'barely' look...! :).

Funnily enough I've just come across a pair of 1950s Twilfit jeans, they must have been separated at birth! She's gorgeous, I say keep her. xxx

I know the problem. But surprisingly once you make the decision about who or what has to go it gets easier. Promise.

I would be tempted to keep them both, even if I had to put one in a very silly place. It could work. Maybe try putting them in different places to see what works, but if not, will have to get rid of one, which would make me keep the mannequin really, you could do a lot with that, even use it to put necklaces on :) xx

Oh dear, I couldn't choose between the 2. Both are curious things perfect for the kind of house I could happily visit.

I couldnt bear to part with Miss Edie. She is lovely. I'd have to keep both and get rid of something else!!

Oh dear, what a dilemma. I wouldn't want to be you!

My vote goes to Martha May. Especially if you're doing a make-over, it's appropriate to welcome someone new in with the make-over. These lovely finds you make do sometimes have to be enjoyed and then passed on to make room. And as the Dainty Dollshouse says, she could make herself more useful than Miss Edie...

Oh yes, what do you do! I have a passion for mannequins, having had one of my first paper creations sit in my dining room then bedroom for about two years. What did I do? I sold her! I'd like to see what will be done to embellish this beauty!

Oh dear, you do have a dilemma on your hands there!! I hope that you come to some solution that you are happy with. xx

Oh gosh no, you cannot let Miss Edie go! I love her.
Martha May is cool because of all the things you could do with her and I am not referring to boobs in the back type things btw. But, yes she does have many uses. Still, not at the cost of losing Miss Edie. There must be a way to keep both.

I don't envy your dilemma. I'd keep them both and find space somehow but I do admit to being biased, as I have a mannequin habit too. x

Hi Marina.
Beautiful mannequin, my passion!
Friday 21 February I'm at the show, I hope everything goes well...
One question: Have you got an italian style coffee machine (mocca?
I count the days that separate us from England...;o))
I'll see you soon, Maristella.

Blooming heck...Mrs VJ...You'll regret parting with either...Pop one away for a 'wee' while and then change around..But please don't part with any..I do believe you can have to much ,but not in this case..You'll not ever see some thing as cute as Miss Eddie again.....They are both wonderful...Chuckling as always at Willies's comment...hehe..

I like the boobed mannequin best. The freaky child one would frighten me. But you can't go wrong with nice bosoms. xx

I couldn't say but I think that if you make your choice , then it will be easier...but of course if you keep them both, it's better!

Oh dear...that does present a problem. I rather like Miss Edie and would hate to see you let her go. She has such a nice presence about her. HA

I'd love to see your bedroom after you do your makeover, especially the grey walls you selected.

I hope little man is feeling much better and is on the mend now. I'm sure you are quite glad that he is home. Take care...

I don't envy you the choice- very hard to decide. In college I had a more vintage looking version of Martha May. She was not so well endowed. She added a lot of character, interest and conversation to my apartment. She wore vintage necklaces, coats and dresses, but usually nothing at all because as a piece of art, she was just beautiful. I miss her. I wonder where she is today.

Trevor you will be pleased to know is well and enjoying life in Brighton.

Hoping that you are having a lovely weekend!

I have the same problem. I've just bought a mannequin with J.B.MASTERFRONT emblazoned across her bosom.
Not to Mr N's taste though and her satin is a bit worn, so she'll have to go.

Oh dear, dear. I would keep Miss Edie I think. I saw a couple of mannequins dumped at our recycling centre - had no idea they were worth anything, not that I am in a position to sell them. But perhaps someone is, because when I passed again a few hours later, they were gone!!
