... dotted with follies,
peacocks call from the woods,
amazing stages host groovy bands, old and new ...
The Southampton Ukele Band - uplifting and so funny ...
The Dukes Box ... annual regulars.
Squeezed into a tiny, hot caravan.
Select the song and they play it.
The big red bus Tea Stop ...
Fab hats ...
Little man performing ... !
She is camera shy ...
In the Lostwood ...
they found ladies knitting ...
... giant, woolly, sculptural cobwebs ...
... to the beat of DJ 'Keep it Wheel' ...
As the sun started to dip ...
... they wandered back to the main lawn ...
to see Imelda May.
She had them all jiving and rocking late into the night.
They wandered back to their tent,
watched by a peek-a-boo moon ...
The evening air warm and sticky,
too hot in the tent,
wrapped in a blanket,
they slept on the grass.

It has been raining a lot here of late. Pretty unusual for here this time of year. We did go to the beach Sunday afternoon for a gorgeous day of sitting under an umbrella and enjoying the beautiful,breezy day.
Oh oh oh! The Big Red Bus Tea Stop... sigh... now that's what EVERY festival needs. I have an enormous 'attitude of gratitude" for any public festival/event I attend... I think it stems from growing up in South Africa where these moments were often marred with racism, violence and inequality... now a celebratory event with a gathering of more than ten has me in tears! I think I would have shed a few happy ones here too! Xx
What a brilliant day. We've visited the gardens but never at festival time - perhaps we should.
