Like storm chasers they followed not a tornado but the sun.
Walking the coastal path.
Buffeted by a harsh wind.
They could see the sun in the distance,
teasing them.
Too few visits to the coast this year.
Too late for sea kale - her favourite.
Gathering flotsam and jetsam
Finally, they captured the sun in a little rocky enclave ...
... and held it close.
Used a little cave, sheltered from the wind to cook up some sausages ...
... and shared their bread, a simple salad and cheese,
with a little red wine and, of course, some cake!

The Giant Vintage Rag Market at Frome on Saturday 30th, brilliantly organised by the lovely Liz and Clare was a great success. Lots of beautiful stalls brimming with textile treats to tempt the customers who streamed through the doors all day.

You are such a good mom! I love to see the expeditions you take with your little man. I hope you are feeling better and I'm glad to see the sun shining. The sun goes a long way in healing a grieving heart! :(

Ahhhh, what would my kids do without the ocean? They find so much peace there. The pictures of the sea are so lovely. Sometimes they lightest lunches are the best.

What a lovely day you would have all had and the beach sculpture is amazing.
A walk along the coast even on an overcast and blustery day is one of the best things ever. Though it does feel a little like October right now!

I love the idea of 'sun chasers' as I am a girl from a town of 'storm chasers' in the US but moved to England a few years ago. I suppose that makes me a 'sun chaser' too :) Wonderful to 'meet' you here!

So wonderful! Love the Sea kale. I have never seen that before on my part of the coast ( near Bournemouth), it looks amazing. Your sea scultures are amazing, I hope you all had a lovely time.
