Scraps of old tablecloths ...

... timeworn tape measures, pretty coloured buttons and scraps of lace ...
all used to make individual cards.
Applique flowers cut out.
A little bit of bling here and there ...
The last bit of a wonderfully soft strip of old cotton ...
Timeworn and faded ...
with old darns ...
Crochet flowers and poems from an old ripped book bereft of cover ...
And a rosette, with a rather topical poem ...
She hopes to make lots more in time for ...
'Vintage at the Village Hall'
on Monday 8th September
at the Blandford Corn Exchange.
For lovers of all things vintage and hand made,
it is a quality fair that is not to be missed.

Hope to see you there!

  1. These are beautiful & inspiring! I am determined to try my hand at card-making (as I can't make it to the fair!). I love the addition of poems and would love to know who wrote the one about grandmother's garden.

  4. Oh my gosh... Those are amazing cards, if a person received one they'd have to free it! Very pretty!

  9. Oh, now aren't these great ideas! This is what can be done with those scraps of great beaded or sequined pieces I have laying around in a box! This is the kind of card one would keep always! Happy day my friend, Anita

  10. That should have said "frame" the cards. Not "free" them... lol... now I'm wondering how many typos I've missed and look like a complete idiot!! Haha! Love these though... seriously beautiful cards! They will sell well! Tammy xx

  16. I love all these. Perhaps you should do framed images. I think they are a bit too good for cards.

  20. Okay Marina,

I adore your cards and the lovely verses! So sweet! You are so talented!

I spent the day outside burning a big ole heap of twigs, leaves and tree branches. I came in with a headache and a sunburn but I was doing a "happy dance" because I don't have to look at that BIG heap of brush any longer. It doesn't take much to make me happy!
