... the book!
to celebrate her parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary.
After her initial trepidation at picking up a needle,
she found she really enjoyed it.
Photos printed onto fabric, letters and receipts.
Little momentoes ...
1963 silver sixpences, stamps and a silver horseshoe.
Layered with scraps of lace and ribbon.
Bound in linen and fastened with a golden glass button.
Can she share a few of the pages with you ...
Her pop kept every receipt ...
She borrowed them but didn't tell him why!
The receipt for their wedding cake ...
the receipt for her mum's engagement ring ...
the wedding car receipt and newspaper announcement ...
Confirmation of honeymoon bungalow in Port Isaac, Cornwall ...
They are her King and Queen of hearts ..
So young ...
her mum's early life was troubled,
but they fell in love,
and it endured.
They are as happy together today, as the day they met.
They have never had much, but they have always had each other.
14th September 1963
Their Golden Day, their Golden Year.

What a fantastic and very thoughtful gift - only a daughter would do this - I have two sons!!!

So glad to see this all finished and looking as perfect as it does, it looks just great, perfect in fact, genuinely flawlessly perfect and your much loved parents are going to adore it. Like Nilly says their favourite gift is most likely having you as a daughter and the time, effort and love put into making this shows that.
