By the sea ...

... under the clearest, beachy sky,
the Mr makes meatballs,
spicy with chilli heat ...
whilst she pods peas,
grown by little man ...
and shades under her
'Empire Made' umbrella!
Summer days in Blighty!

  1. The meatballs look yummy is there is recipe? And clever little man to grow peas, nothing nicer than homegrown peas. Do you know I think my parents had an umbrella just like that one, I remember the colours and the shape and that one being 'Empire Made' too!

  6. Those meatballs the best looking and most perfectly rounded meatballs I have ever seen and I bet they tasted just as good! Your peas look good too as do those brightly colored toenails! LOL ( I just had a pedicure last week and had my toenails painted almost the same color...it was like I died and went to heaven)!

  13. Hi Mrs VJ...Your man is quite the chief! I wish mine was too! LOVED the simplicity of this gentle post...I smiled at your pretty parasol here, We have just returned from France where the temperatures reached the high 30's and on the track side well into the 40 degrees! I used my 'good old' British brolly for a parasol too! hehe! Soo very hot! Wishing you a lovely new week, my friend! hugs Maria x
