... into Narnia
At first light,
the white hush of virgin snow.
Their path to school ...
Seen anew,
embalmed in crystal.
The little ones played awhile,
before the bell.
She watched their faces.
Winter white excitement,
rosy red-cheeked glow.
The next day,
they climbed up to Cadbury Castle.
Reputedly, King Arthur's Camelot.
They sledged ...
... on boogie board and toboggan!
Laughed like children ... but fell like adults.
It hurt ... a lot! She has bruises, he aches.
Little man flew by.
A fearless child.
Walking back, she looked through the trees,
and saw two little babes, nestled in the snow.
It's so cool just how identical this looks to Narnia in the photos Jane, these photos really embody the meaning of a Winter Wonderland, looks like so much fun as well if you're willing to brave all the cold. Great photos Jane.

ReplyDeleteHow FUN for little man and you! much! I remember when husband and grandson did the same thing a couple of years ago when we had about 2 inches of snow. (which is unheard of here in Texas). There is a hill behind the house where they live and they must have spent several hours sledding up and down it.
I hope you have recovered from all the twists and turns that riding a toboggan brought to you not to mention the bruises and sore spots. Husband was sore for two days! HA
